How to setup your (Plexaweb Hosted) email account

If you’re email account is hosted through our hosting platform and not through Office 365, Google or any other 3rd party then you should be able to access your email online through webmail.example.com – With example being your domain name.
From there on, you should be able to just simply put in your username and password and sign in to view your emails.
What about setting up email clients?
To get your email account setup on an email client to receiveĀ (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, iPhone or Android’s Mail App), you’ll need to use POP3 or IMAP
For IMAP:
- Username – youremailaddress (john@plexaweb.com
- IMAP Server/Incoming Server – yourdomain (plexaweb.com)
- IMAP Port – 993
For POP3:
- Username – youremailaddress (john@plexaweb.com
- POP Server/Incoming Server – yourdomain (plexaweb.com)
- POP Port – 995
If you wish to send email
SMTP
If you wish to sent email, you’ll need to use SMTP/Outbound Server Settings
- Username – youremailaddress (john@plexaweb.com
- SMTP Server/Incoming Server – yourdomain (plexaweb.com)
- SMTP Port – 587
Additional Information
POP3, IMAP and SMTP all require both the username and the password. A lot of mail clients tend to default to just using the first half of an email address as the username. Please add the @ symbol and the domain name after that complete with .com, .co.uk, .net or whatever domain extension you’re using.
